CBI in Birmingham

Senior representatives of UK industry and commerce joined together with politicians, including the Prime Minister, and a wide range of international companies and speakers for the CBI Annual Conference in Birmingham�s ICC. www.cbi.org.uk

Vision 2005

The UK, through the International Society for Low Vision Research, successfully bid against international competition to host this event which is considered to be of major significance. The conference will be coming to the UK in 2005 and will bring together 1500 of the worlds leading practitioners and researchers in the field of low vision and sight loss. Alongside the Conference will be a major presence by representatives from the industries associated with this area of medicine.

LS International

UK clothing firm LS International recently made a £750,000 investment in a new Far Eastern operation. Specialising in equestrian clothing, polo and sweatshirts, work wear, waterproof clothing, as well as fleeces, Wolverhampton based LS has been manufacturing woven and knitted outerwear for over 25 years. Directors Howard Chalmers and Daljit Mehat hope this latest development will give the company a firm global foothold. www.lsinternational.co.uk
