Tony Blair joins over 800 UK business people to celebrate manufacturing success and reinforce the importance of this sector to the region and the country. The Prime Minister was guest of honour at the CBI Manufacturing Dinner held appropriately at the Hilton Metropole Hotel near Birmingham, the centre of the UK ‘s manufacturing industry, and was joined by manufacturers from around the UK to hear Digby Jones and The Prime Minister discuss issues affecting the importance of manufacturing to the UK economy.
